Exercise with purpose and focus to heal, strengthen and
rejuvenate
Katas are a pre arranged sequence of movements practiced
by most classic martial arts styles. Depending on
training or health goal, some Katas are done slow, some with
tension, and some with speed and power. Some Katas also have
all these mentioned aspect in parts of their movements all
in one. Land of Okinawa, by way of China is
development place of over 50 of the widely known ancient
Katas. There are also many many modern derivatives and
versions of these Katas. O's enjoys, and uses Katas for rehabilitating joint and muscle related
disorders including but not limited to hip, knee, back,
shoulder, elbow and wrist related issues. Because of
their particular breathing and structural components, some
of the Katas below are famous for keeping the
dedicated practitioners these Katas young and agile.
Besides their excellent anti-aging and health benefits, the
hidden movements within Kata constitute the highest level of
knowledge up to highest levels of black belt. O's has been
practicing these movements since 1976, he recommends and
